The black experience in America has not been and probably will not be an easy one for black people in America. Because of one simple fact, the color of our skin is ?Black? when in reality African-American skin tone ranges pale or light hue to a chocolate brown.

My ancestors were stolen from their homes, stripped of their culture, religion, identity and families all because they were black. They were packed into hulls of ships and many died on the passage to America and other destinations all because they were black.

The great majority were separated from their families and sold on auction blocks like merchandise all because the pigment in their skin was black. Black people were enslaved, and our women raped because there black. Many of the African men were castrated and lynched because they were black. Others were murdered, denied fair and equal Justice and hated all because they were black. Many were taunted, beaten and jailed because they were black.

Because they were black, many of our schools and universities, businesses, and churches were burned and bombed All of this and a whole lot more horrible things were done and is being done to my people simply because our is skin is BLACK.

Put all of this together and what do you have? One giant wound deeply embedded into the souls of African-American people. Due to the neglect and uncaring concern from society to properly tend to this wound, a scar has formed which has created a barrier in the advancement of African-American people in this nation.

But the time has truly come from a healing to remove this visible unsightly wound in the souls of African-Americans. It is going to take all of us united together in brotherly love. Love is needed now to allow the scars to be covered forever. This will not be an overnight process; it will take some time. The Bible says that time heals all things, all wounds? Thank God for time.

??A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;?
Ecclesiastes 3:3

Readings for The Soul is a collection of inspirational writings to help you find the strength to face each day with hope and courage. Through a life of Faith, Jesus lives in us and we live in him. The goodness of God has the cross planted in the middle of it.

Chapter One; The Beatitudes is Jesus Sermon on the mount from St. Matthew 5. Jesus sermon was not only for those during his time but for us today. It?s a sermon directed at us to change our attitude from the negative to the positive, it is a message of hope and deep courage for those of us who struggles with disappointment and discouragement. With the right attitude we can conquer our fears and become victorious.

Chapter Two; we are what eat and that includes our spiritual diet. The Fruit of the Spirit focuses on the advantage of having the right spirit as we walk with God and our fellow man. The Holy Spirit gives us new life and new authority to receive the things that belong to God. This chapter will help you to find the power to bear fruit in your life and upon Jesus returns, so that He will not find us barren.

Chapter Three is a message to the Seven Churches in Asia Minor and the Church of today. John who was an apostle of Jesus Christ was banished to the Island of Patmos for preaching the gospel of Christ. While there John was in the spirit and while in the spirit he was given a message to the Seven Churches of Asia. Although this message was given over 2000 years ago, it is relevant to the churches today. It is a mirror image of many of the churches that exist today and why they are unproductive in saving souls and revitalizing communities. This chapter should encourage and motivate people to follow Jesus last commandment, the great commission in St. Matthew 28:19-20, ?Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name if the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.?

Chapter Four is a collection of various articles to empower and encourage the body of Christ, which are the believers, too press on regardless of one circumstances. In this chapter God tells us who God is and how we are able to rejoice in tribulation. We will see God?s mercy, God?s grace, God?s kingdom, and most importantly God?s love, for all of humanity. We will see that God has not forgotten nor forsaken his people. God remembers and He hears our prayers when we sincerely pray to Him, Help is on the way.

I pray that the contents of this book will be a blessing to you as it was a blessing for me to write. May Readings for the Soul bring you peace, joy, and happiness to your soul. May God Bless and keep you, I thank you for purchasing this book.
EASY STRIPED PONCHO - Machine Knitting Pattern

Excellent for beginners (as well as more proficient knitters). Designed for standard gauge punchcard machines. Knitted in a simple all over tuck stitch, it is simplicity itself! It can be knitted in one colour, two colours (left side colour a / right side colour b) or stripes. With a light, flowing, sensuous feel and a generous drape. Full length, based on the traditional Mexican type poncho, it can be knitted in less than a day.

Designed for 4ply acrylic yarn, although any yarn can be used provided tension matches. How many knitters don?t have part cones of 4ply hanging around? What better way is there to use up these remnants. This gorgeous poncho will make you the height of fashion even if you are a beginning knitter.
This pattern is designed by myself; I have a B.A. (hons) degree in knitwear design and I used to write patterns for Machine Knitting News, Modern Knitting, Profitable Machine Knitting as well as yarn companies, including Bramwells and Atkinsons
$5.00
