Books Horsenameographies: Life Stories in a Race Horse Name E-Book 16.10 Horsenameographies: Life Stories in a Race Name contains a collection of life stories captured in a race horse name. In September 2009, horse lovers were asked to stop the “race” of their lives in order to capture their life stories in a race horse name. In a little over three months, more than 800 names from around the world were submitted for consideration. Some of the names were accompanied by a few lines of explanation, or an autobiographical vignette, and some submissions included a photograph that captured the essence of a person’s race horse name. Pre-release reviews of the book were extremely positive. Regarding the piece, Mary Simon, a contributing editor to Thoroughbred Times wrote, “This is truly a book of, by, and for the people. Beautiful in its utter simplicity, it manages to underscore the complexity of human experience on just about every page--being alternately wise, inspirational, somber, humorous, and uplifting. The horse people have written... and they are surely worth reading!" A portion of every book published by Caballo Press is donated to a non-profit organization related to the equine industry. In the case of the Horsenameographies, select proceeds will be contributed to ReRun Thoroughbred Adoption Program and Southern California Rescue. http://www.scubbly.com/item/7363/
